CM Samrat Chaudhary’s announcement: Great news for these citizens

Lucknow. Bihar government has taken a big step towards making social security schemes more effective. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced that no eligible person deprived of social pension in the state will now be allowed to stay away from the benefits of the scheme. For this, such people will be identified by running a special campaign and they will be linked to the pension scheme as soon as possible.

Help will be available even if Aadhaar is not linked

The Chief Minister clarified that the administration will run a special campaign for those eligible beneficiaries whose Aadhar card has not yet been linked to their pension account. The concerned department will speed up the process of linking Aadhaar so that the pension of any eligible person is not stopped due to technical reasons. This initiative is expected to provide relief to thousands of people who were not able to avail the benefits of the scheme only due to documentary or technical reasons.

Every 10th will be ‘Bihar Pension Day’

The government has also announced the implementation of a new system. Now the 10th of every month will be celebrated as ‘Bihar Pension Day’. On this day, it will be ensured that the pension amount reaches the bank accounts of all eligible pensioners on time through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Amount sent to the accounts of crores of beneficiaries

The state government has provided financial assistance to a large number of beneficiaries under social security schemes. Recently an amount of Rs 1,423.94 crore was transferred to the bank accounts of 97.84 lakh pensioners through DBT. This makes it clear that the government is giving priority to a transparent payment system through digital medium.

Big relief from increase in pension amount

The government has increased the monthly amount of social security pension from Rs 400 to Rs 1100. With this increase, the elderly, disabled, widows and other needy people are getting more help than before in meeting their daily needs. Experts believe that the increase in pension amount will strengthen the economic condition of the weaker sections and help them live a respectable life.
