Operation Safed Sagar Teaser: Netflix’s upcoming web series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ is going to be released on August 7. Directed by Oni Sen, the show stars Siddharth, Jimmy Shergill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain, Mihir Ahuja, Taruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin and Amrita Bagchi in lead roles.
Recently, Siddharth shared the first teaser of ‘Operation Safed Sagar’ on his Instagram page on Saturday, which was liked a lot by the people.
Web series about Operation Safed Sagar
Based on the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil war, this series tells the story of the Golden Arrow Squadron of the Indian Air Force. This squadron conducted high altitude air operations to assist the Indian Army in countering the Pakistani Army during the war. The teaser features Mihir Ahuja, Abhay Verma and Taruk Raina as young pilots entering the battle with determination and courage. While preparing for the high altitude air mission, senior officers played by Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill guide them and help them deal with the pressures of war.

Netflix released the first teaser of the show at the inaugural Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 last year. The web series is based on the Indian Air Force’s 1999 mission, Operation Safed Sagar, which was the highest altitude air operation ever and a key mission of India’s Kargil response. The 56-second teaser takes viewers through the decision-making process, pilot training and battlefield realities, as well as the personal pressures placed on the officers involved. The show has been shot extensively at various military bases of the Indian Air Force and features MiG aircraft and Indian Air Force personnel.
