Matt Damon wishes to work with Shekhar Kapur
Famous Hollywood actor Matt Damon recently expressed his deep desire to collaborate with Indian film director Shekhar Kapur. Damon told how he had lost a golden opportunity to work in Shekhar Kapur’s film ‘The Four Feathers’ two decades ago, which he still regrets. At a press conference held during the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s film ‘The Odyssey’ in Mumbai, Damon said that it has been his long-time desire to work with Shekhar Kapur.
He said, ‘When I started my career, everyone wanted to work with Shekhar Kapur. I remember that for some reason I could not do ‘The Four Feathers’ and I regret it very much, because I had got selected for the film ‘Bourne’. The actor further said, ‘That’s why Shekhar Kapur has always been on my list of people I want to work with. I want another chance to work with him. This is a small loan, which I am still carrying around with me.
‘The Four Feathers’ was released in 2002 and was Shekhar Kapur’s second Hollywood directorial venture. Before this, he directed the Oscar-nominated film ‘Elizabeth’ in 1998, which brought him recognition in Hollywood.
Matt Damon is currently in India for the global promotion of his new film ‘The Odyssey’, along with the film’s director Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas and actor Tom Holland.
