Delhi Police apprehended Lawrence Bishnoi gang shooters planning killing
Delhi Police’s Rohini District Special Staff has apprehended three shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who were preparing to carry out a targeted killing, officials stated on Sunday.
The accused were reportedly receiving instructions through an overseas network and using the information to plan the crime. The individuals arrested were also wanted in multiple criminal cases in Delhi and had previously executed targeted shootings, according to police.
Earlier last week, two alleged shooters connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi-Hariram (Harry) Boxer gang, wanted in the killing of a gym owner, were killed during a police encounter in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. The Delhi Police Special Cell collaborated with the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) to intercept two wanted criminals, identified as Pravesh and Himanshu, near Balor in Bahadurgarh on Saturday. Both men, residents of Hisar, had rewards of Rs 1 lakh each and were wanted for the murder of gym trainer Kapil in Hansi on June 11, an incident recorded on CCTV.
These arrests have occurred amid heightened scrutiny of the Lawrence Bishnoi organized crime network and its purported international connections.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recently offered a reward of up to USD 50,000 for information leading to the arrest of Satinderjeet Singh alias Goldy Brar, wanted for his suspected involvement in the Lawrence Bishnoi Organized Crime Group, which allegedly operates violently throughout Southern California, as well as the United States and Canada.
The FBI indicated that Goldy Brar is based in the United States and is the alleged leader of the group in North America. A federal arrest warrant was issued against Singh on July 1, 2026, by the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Los Angeles, charging him with racketeering conspiracy, conspiracy to interfere and attempted interference with commerce by extortion, and conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.
This recent development follows US federal prosecutors charging Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar with alleged involvement in organized criminal activities, including the assassination of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, British Columbia, in 2023.
The US Department of Justice said Bishnoi and Brar were among several defendants charged during “Operation Hard Ball”, a crackdown on alleged India-based organized crime groups implicated in violent crimes, extortion, and international narcotics trafficking.
US authorities emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
