Big step by UP government, new good news for 32 districts

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government is taking rapid steps towards modernizing the education system in rural areas. Now the youth preparing for government jobs will not be forced to undergo expensive coaching or live on rent in big cities. In the first phase, the state government has prepared digital libraries in thousands of gram panchayats of 32 districts, where modern resources are being made available free of cost for studying for competitive examinations.

The objective of these libraries is not only to make books available, but also to provide the same facilities to the village students which till now the students of big cities have been easily getting. This is expected to greatly benefit the youth preparing for UPSC, UPPSC, Police, Bank, SSC and other government recruitment examinations.

Complete arrangement for digital education along with books

Apart from traditional books, special attention has also been given to digital learning in the new library. Students will get access to thousands of e-books, video lectures from subject experts, audio study material and online quizzes. With this, they will be able to test their preparation from time to time and understand difficult subjects in a better way.

Investment on modern facilities in every gram panchayat

The government has set aside a separate budget for modernizing each library. Along with the purchase of new books related to competitive examinations, computers, tablets, internet and other technical equipment are being made available. Comfortable study rooms, tables, chairs and other necessary furniture are also being installed for the students so that they can get a better educational environment.

Work is increasing rapidly in Gram Panchayats

Under the scheme, study material has reached a large number of Gram Panchayats and library infrastructure has been prepared at most of the places. Now the work of connecting these centers with high-speed internet and digital platforms is being done in a phased manner, so that students can take full advantage of online study material.

City like facilities will be available in village itself

The government believes that better opportunities for education should not be limited to cities only. Under this thinking, rural youth are being provided an environment for quality preparation for competitive examinations in their own villages. This will reduce the expenses of students from economically weaker families and they will not have to leave home for studies.

Monitoring will be done at local level

The responsibility for operation and maintenance of these library centers has been fixed at the Gram Panchayat level. A system of regular inspection has also been made so that the students get all the facilities on time and proper utilization of resources is ensured.
