Two big changes in Team India… Replacement of Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty after defeat in two matches, BCCI announced

New Delhi. After the defeat in the five-match T20 series against England, the Indian cricket team will now play a three-match ODI series. After this, Team India will play three T20 matches on the Zimbabwe tour. Before these two series, the team has suffered a big setback. Fast bowling all-rounder Harshit Rana and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy are out of the team due to injury. After this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the replacement of both the players.

Ravi Bishnoi and Prince Yadav got a chance

Instead of giving a chance to a new player in place of Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty, BCCI has expressed confidence in the players who were already a part of the team setup. Leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi and young fast bowler Prince Yadav have been included in the Indian team for the ODI series against England and Zimbabwe T20 series.

Harshit Rana out due to hamstring injury

Harshit Rana suffered a hamstring problem in his right leg during the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. In the medical scan, he was confirmed to have grade-1 hamstring injury. After this he has been dropped from the upcoming ODI series against England. He will report to BCCI’s Center of Excellence (COE) for further treatment and rehabilitation.

Varun Chakraborty will also not play Zimbabwe series

It was during the third T20 match that Varun Chakraborty felt pain in the hamstring of his left leg. In MRI examination they Grade-2 hamstring injury was found. On the advice of experts, he has been kept out of the upcoming T20 series against Zimbabwe. He will remain under further observation as per BCCI’s medical procedure for further treatment.

Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (vice-captain), KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar and Prince Yadav.

Shreyas Iyer (captain), Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma (vice-captain), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Shivam Dubey, Suryansh Shedge, Rinku Singh, Harsh Dubey, Prince Yadav, Yash Thakur, Ashok Sharma, Mayank Yadav, Prabhasimran Singh (wicketkeeper) and Ravi Bishnoi.
