Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy ruled out of ODI series : A major change has been made in the Indian squad before the three-match ODI series against England. Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi have been included in the squad in place of Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty. According to BCCI, Harshit and Varun have been ruled out of the ODI series due to injury.

The BCCI said in a statement on Sunday that the men’s selection committee has included Prince Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi in India’s ODI and T20I squads in place of Harshit Rana and Varun Chakraborty respectively. Rana felt a sudden discomfort in his right hamstring during the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge. Subsequent scans revealed that he had suffered a Grade 1 hamstring injury. He has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against England and will report to the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) for further investigation and treatment.

Chakravarthy also felt a sudden discomfort in his left hamstring during the third T20I against England. An MRI scan later revealed that he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring injury. Based on the advice of medical experts, he has been ruled out of the T20I series against Zimbabwe. He will report to the BCCI COE for further treatment.
