Video-Flipkart’s delivery boy forcibly entered the flat on the pretext of washroom, fondled the woman, showed the accused’s wet part

Bengaluru: A very disturbing incident has come to light from Tech City Bengaluru where a delivery agent of online shopping app Flipkart has been arrested for indecent act with a woman. The accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat. The victim woman, showing wisdom, also made a video of the accused’s actions, which has now become an important evidence for the police.

Forced entry into the flat despite refusal

Narrating her ordeal, the woman said that she was alone at home when the accused came to deliver the parcel. After giving the parcel, he asked for permission to use the washroom. According to the woman, she was refused several times and asked to seek help from a neighbor. But he did not agree and took off his shoes and slippers and forcibly entered my flat.

The woman alleges that after coming out of the washroom, the accused showed his private parts in front of her and started doing obscene acts. Sensing the danger, the woman had already switched on the camera of her phone and had kept the main gate of the house open so that she could escape if needed. In the video recorded by the woman of the accused coming out of the washroom, the zip of his pants is clearly visible.

After the incident, the deeply traumatized woman shared a crying video on social media. She said I was in complete shock. I felt unsafe and humiliated in my own home. What kind of people do platforms like Flipkart and Myntra hire for delivery, do they not have background verification? A woman had said ‘no’, the matter should have ended there. No one has the right to forcibly enter someone’s house.

Flipkart delivery agent Vijay Mallikarjun Kamath arrested after allegedly forcing his way into a Bengaluru woman’s home under the pretext of using the toilet, then exposing himself to her.

Police and company in action, Flipkart fired delivery boy

After the matter escalated, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused Vijay Mallikarjuna. A case has been registered against him under sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
On the other hand, Flipkart spokesperson has also issued an official statement on this matter. The company said that we are extremely hurt by this incident. Customer safety is paramount for us. As soon as the matter came to light, we took immediate action and terminated the services of the accused delivery partner. An FIR has been registered with the police and we are fully cooperating in the investigation.
