CM Yogi inaugurated ‘Tree Plantation Mahayagya-2026’ in Gorakhpur, appealed to join the ‘Ek Tree Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a record plantation of 35 crore saplings in a day from Gorakhpur on Sunday morning. Under the ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ campaign, he planted a sapling of the sacred Triveni (Neem, Peepal, Banyan) near Bhagwanpur Toll Plaza on Gorakhpur Link Expressway and also took a selfie.

On this occasion, establishment of Vikas Vatika, release of forestry based calendar under the aegis of Forest Department, distribution of saplings to the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, certificates to farmers under carbon credit and checks were given to citizens doing excellent work in the field of forest cover.

The Chief Minister also planted ‘Pavitra Triveni’ sapling on Gorakhpur Link Expressway and ‘Maulshree’ sapling on Ramgarh Tal Ring Road. He called upon the people of the state to join the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and make this Green Mahayagya of planting 35 crore saplings successful through public participation.
