‘Roam without worries even at 2 in the night’, Noida girl praises Bengaluru’s safety; Debate broke out on viral video

Bengaluru Night Walk: Once again the discussion on social media regarding women’s safety has intensified. The reason for this was the viral video of a girl from Noida, in which she is seen strolling carefree with her friend outside the famous Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru at around 2 o’clock in the night.

In this video shared on Instagram, the girl tells that despite it being a deserted road late at night, she feels completely safe. She also claims that in her home city Noida, she is not able to walk comfortably like this at night. However, this video is based on a personal experience and general conclusions cannot be drawn from it regarding the safety of any city.

Noida girl praised Bengaluru’s security

In the video, a girl named Shalini, while walking outside Vidhana Soudha with her friend Anuja, says that in Bengaluru, it seems possible to go out without any fear even late at night. During this, Anuja jokingly says that even though Bengaluru seems better in terms of safety, Noida is ahead in terms of traffic.

Both of them continue the conversation laughing at this. Shalini says that problems like traffic do not matter much compared to the feeling of security and if she gets a safe environment, she can also think of living in Bengaluru.

Debate broke out on the security system of cities

After the video went viral, mixed reactions were seen from people. Many users agreed with the girl, calling Bengaluru a relatively safe city.

At the same time, many people on social media said that the security experience of any city can vary according to the person, time and area, hence it would not be appropriate to compare two cities on the basis of only one experience. This video has once again intensified the debate on issues like women’s safety, urban life and movement without fear in public places.
