Samantha’s ‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ becomes the first female-led film to earn Rs 100 crore!
Samantha’s production house Tralala Moving Pictures shared this information on Instagram on Sunday and described the film as a blockbuster. The post read, “‘Maa Inti Bangaram’ has created history by completing its golden century. It has become the first female-led Telugu film to cross Rs 100 crore business worldwide.”
This family action-comedy drama film, released on June 19, stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role. The film is directed by Nandini Reddy, while the story is written by Raj Nidimoru.
Before the release of the film, Samantha had told in the pre-release program organized in Chennai that she herself performed stunts for the action scenes of the film and during this she also suffered many injuries.
He had said, “There are no slow motion, flying or over-the-top action scenes in the film. All the fight sequences are completely real. I also took a lot of punches, even bled, but I did all the action scenes myself. Perhaps this is why the audience is finding the action in the film so real.”
Apart from Samantha, Digant and Gulshan Devaiah are also seen in important roles in the film. Srimukhi, Gautami, Anand, Lakshmi, Srinivas Gavireddy and Manjusha also play important roles.
Samantha had said about the film in January this year, “‘Ma Inti Bangaram’ is the story of a woman whose strength comes from both her sensitivity and courage. Playing this character and taking this film forward as a producer has been an extremely satisfying experience for me.”
