Complain About Bad Restaurant Food: There are often reports of negligence on the part of hotel operators and the food there. At the same time, dirt and defects are also seen in the food ordered through online platforms. Apart from this, there are complaints regarding bad and dirty food from big hotels to small breakfast and food shops. Keeping this in mind, FSSAI has taken a big step. With this decision taken by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, strict action will be taken against adulterators and hotel-dhaba owners who serve dirty food.

FSSAI has started a new digital initiative for the benefit of citizens and to punish the negligent. Recently FSSAI has launched ‘Food Safety Connect’ app keeping food safety in mind. Through this app, people can lodge complaints about receiving spoiled food.

What is Food Safety Connect App?

• FSSAI has created this app so that every person in the country can get pure, fresh and safe food.
• If you see spoiled food or dirt in any big hotel, restaurant, local dhaba or roadside food stall, then you can directly complain to the government through this app.

Which complaints can be filed?

• If you suspect any kind of adulteration in food.
• If the food is stale, smells bad or is unfit for consumption.
• If the kitchen of a hotel or restaurant is dirty and flies or cockroaches are roaming there.
• If the employees preparing or serving food are working with dirty hands without gloves.
• You can take a photo of the spot and upload it on the app as proof of your complaint.
• You can also add other important details related to the event (like hotel name and address).

Easy way to use the app

• First of all, install ‘Food Safety Connect’ app in your mobile and open it.
• If you see spoiled food or dirt anywhere, take a clear photo of it with the app.
• Enter the name and correct address of that hotel or restaurant there.
• Select the type of your complaint from the list given.
• After filling all the information, press the submit button.
