A case that has shattered relationships has come to light in a village in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district. A 35-year-old man has been accused of attempting to rape his own mother at knifepoint. The incident has sparked outrage in the entire village. The victim has filed a case against her son at the Sakra police station. The woman said that she was bathing at home in the morning when her son, under the pretext of giving her Prasad, lured her into a room and took her away.
It is alleged that upon entering the room, the accused locked the door and held a knife to her neck. He then attempted to rape her. The woman, demonstrating courage, managed to free herself from the accused’s clutches and, shouting, gathered bystanders. However, by then the accused had fled the scene.
The accused was drunk, his wife was at her parents’ house for 8 days.
The victim stated that the accused was drunk at the time of the incident. He often came home drunk and started fights. It is being reported that the accused’s wife has been staying at her parents’ house for the past eight days. He took advantage of this and committed the crime. Other family members were not at home at the time. The victim has three children. The accused is the eldest. He also has two daughters. The accused himself has two sons and a daughter.
Police registered a case, medical examination started
The Sakra police station took the matter seriously. According to the station in-charge, an FIR has been registered against the accused son under relevant sections based on the victim’s statement. The police immediately sent the victim for a medical examination. DSP Manoj Kumar Singh stated that a case was registered immediately based on the victim’s complaint. The accused is being searched for and will be arrested soon.
Anger in the village, panchayat demands arrest
The incident has sparked outrage in the entire village. Villagers held a panchayat and demanded the arrest of the accused. They said such a son is a disgrace to society and deserves the harshest punishment. Women also took to the streets to protest, demanding swift action from the police administration.
