Rahul Gandhi cornered Devendra Fadnavis on Maharashtra TET paper leak, said – it is the institution’s mistake, the candidate is punished, this is not justice.
New Delhi. The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in Maharashtra was to be held on June 28, 2026, but due to the alleged paper leak, the postponement of the examination was announced by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE). At that time the council had said that the new date of the paper would be announced soon, but two weeks have passed and there is still no information about the new date of the exam. More than 6 lakh candidates are expected to appear in Maharashtra TET Exam.

Rahul Gandhi said that those who leak are free, the system is spotless and those who worked honestly are facing punishment. These are the working and future teachers of the country in whose hands the future of India lies. These are the same people who prepared year after year, filled the forms, paid the fees, went to far-flung centres. And now just waiting, without date, without answer.
Rahul Gandhi said, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, three things, today itself, the first deadline: declare the new date of TET now. Second accountability: Action should be taken against those responsible for the leak, not against the candidate. Third, to protect the future: Those whose years were ruined due to this leak, should be given relaxation in age limit.
He said that it was the institution’s mistake and this punishment is not justice to the candidate. Rahul Gandhi said that on July 17 in Dehradun, I will talk to you in detail on the growing problem of paper leaks. Now the time has come for education revolution. To create such a system where the youth get the fruits of their hard work and not the failure of the system.
