Official statement and reasons
“This step became necessary due to the rising input costs. Although the company has tried to bear a major part of this increasing financial burden, considering the market conditions, this nominal increase of up to 1.5 per cent on an average in the portfolio has to be passed.”

Impact on general public and condition of showroom
This increase in prices just before the festive season will have a direct impact on the budget of middle class families. According to information received from Tata dealerships located in New Delhi’s Connaught Place and Okhla Industrial Area, customers who had completed the booking process by the end of June are getting the benefit of the old rates. But these revised rates have been applicable to all new bookings and deliveries being made after July 1, 2026. At dealerships, customers will now have to pay as per the new on-road price calculation, which may also have minor differences in RTO and insurance charges.
