Test model seen on the roads of Kerala: What will be special?
Pictures of this new Innova High Cross seen on Indian roads are going viral on social media. This will be the first major update for this premium MPV since its launch in India in December 2022. Although the overall silhouette of the vehicle remains the same as the current model, its exterior parts are being redesigned.
It can be given a redesigned front grille, new signature LED headlamps and a sporty looking bumper. At the rear, it is expected to get newly designed LED tail lamps and updated rear bumper. The design of the alloy wheel of the vehicle can also be changed.
Major upgrades expected in cabin and features
Preparations are on to make the interior of the Innova High Cross facelift more premium. According to reports, new seat upholstery and new soft-touch materials will be used inside the cabin. The biggest change can be seen in its infotainment system, which will add a larger touchscreen display with updated software, an improved 360-degree camera and advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) safety features.
Experts’ opinion: discussion of flex fuel technology
“Toyota has recently showcased Flex-Fuel technologies in India. There is a strong possibility that the company may also introduce the option of Flex-Fuel compatible engine in this new facelift model of Innova HighCross.”

Engine and possible timeline of launch in India
There is very little expectation of mechanical changes in this mid-life update. Like the current model, it will continue to be available with 2.0-litre petrol engine and 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine. The hybrid model remains the first choice of Indian customers due to its excellent mileage.
As far as launching is concerned, looking at the initial stages of this test model, it is believed that it can be officially launched in the Indian market in the beginning of 2027. The ex-showroom price of the current Innova HighCross ranges between Rs 18.06 lakh to Rs 30.83 lakh. A slight increase in the prices of facelift models that come with new features may be seen.
