Patna: Police fined in Bunty Yadav murder case, 4 policemen including 3 ASI suspended due to negligence

Patna: Now the police department has taken major action in the famous Bunty Yadav kidnapping and murder case of Bihar. After serious negligence came to light during the investigation of the case, Patna Central SP Mamta Kalyani has suspended three Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASI) and a Home Guard with immediate effect. The department believes that if vigilance had been exercised while on duty, perhaps this incident could have been prevented.

The four personnel against whom the police department has taken action include three ASIs and one home guard. All are accused of serious negligence while on duty. During the period of suspension, the headquarters of all these has been fixed as New Reserve Police Centre, Patna. Along with this, the department has directed all the suspended policemen to submit their written explanation in this matter within three days. Based on this, further departmental action will be decided.a

All of them are accused of not maintaining necessary vigilance while on duty, which gave the criminals an opportunity to commit crimes.

Investigation revealed that on the night of July 6, when Bunty Yadav was kidnapped, these four policemen were present at a distance of about 100 meters from the incident site. He was deployed on patrol and dial-112 duty. Despite being so close, they neither got information about any suspicious activity nor could they come to know about the kidnapping incident. Police officials considered this as serious dereliction of duty, after which immediate suspension action was taken.

Dead body found after five days

Bunty Yadav was kidnapped on July 6 from near Mahavir Mandir in Patna Junction. After the incident, the police continued searching for him, but five days later, on July 11, his body was recovered from Athamalgola area. This place is said to be about 60 kilometers away from Patna Junction. After the body was found, the whole matter took a more serious turn and many questions started being raised on the working style of the police.

When the police found the body of Bunty Yadav, his condition was very bad. The body was badly mutilated and the face was so badly damaged that it became difficult to identify it. According to the information, there were marks of serious injuries on the face of the deceased, due to which even the identification of eyes and nose could not be made clear. His left hand was in normal condition, but the flesh of the right hand was missing and only the bone was visible. There were deep injury marks on many parts of the body and decomposition had started in the body.
