Effect of heavy rain in Alwar, city flooded from court premises to roads, vehicles damaged
Rajasthan Weather: After a long wait in Alwar, the weather changed on Tuesday afternoon and people got relief from the heat and humidity due to heavy rain for about an hour. However, heavy rains also led to waterlogging on many roads and public places in the city.
After the rain, many areas of the city including the Alwar Court complex were flooded. Water was seen flowing with a strong stream from the stairs of Mahal Chowk. Water also entered the court canteen, where people were seen taking out water with the help of canteens.

About 3 to 4 feet of water accumulated on the road from the city bus stand to Ashok Talkies. Many scooters and two-wheelers got damaged due to waterlogging. Many people were seen walking through the water, while some shops were also flooded.

Before the rain, the weather was clear on Tuesday morning and due to the strong sunlight, the effect of heat remained. Due to no wind, people had to face heavy humidity throughout the day. In the afternoon suddenly the sky became cloudy and the weather changed, after which it started raining in many parts of the district.
Questions raised on city arrangements
At some places there was heavy rain and at other places light drizzle was recorded. Information about water logging in some fields in rural areas has also come to light. People definitely got relief due to rain, but waterlogging also raised questions on the city’s arrangements.
Possibility of light rain and strong winds
The Meteorological Department had earlier predicted that the weather would remain normal till July 15, but in view of the changed weather conditions, now there is a possibility of cloudy sky, light rain and strong winds for the next few days.
Temperature expected to be 33 degrees Celsius
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain or drizzle may continue in Alwar district from July 14 to 19. The maximum temperature on July 15 is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius, while in the coming days the temperature may reach 37 to 38 degrees. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature of the district was recorded at around 36 degrees Celsius.
