Major reshuffle in police, transfer of 18 IPS officers; Jodhpur gets new police commissioner
- Rajasthan government transferred 18 IPS officers.
- Anshuman Bhomiya becomes the new Police Commissioner of Jodhpur.
- Sharat Kaviraj was made IG in the crime branch.
Jaipur. In a major administrative reshuffle in the police department, the Rajasthan government transferred 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers late on Tuesday night.
Under the order issued by the Personnel Department, many important changes have been made in Police Headquarters, Range, District Police and RAC including Jodhpur Police Commissioner.
In this reshuffle, two ranges have got new Inspector General of Police (IG), while Superintendents of Police (SP) of four districts have also been changed. This is being considered an important administrative change regarding law and order and police administration in the state.
The most important change has been made in Jodhpur Police Commissionerate. Jodhpur Police Commissioner Sharat Kaviraj has been removed and appointed Inspector General (IG) of the Crime Branch.
In his place, Anshuman Bhomiya, working as Inspector General in Jaipur-based SSB, has been made the new Police Commissioner of Jodhpur. Important changes have also taken place at the police headquarters level.
Anil Paliwal, Director General of Police, Training and Traffic, has been given the responsibility of Director General of Home Defense and Commandant General. Malini Aggarwal, working on this post, has been made Director General of Police (Traffic).
Changes have also been made at the range level. Dr. Ravi, IG, Police Planning, Modernization and Welfare, has been appointed as the new IG of Ajmer Range. Whereas in Law and Order and Administration, IG Dr. Preeti Chandra has been given the responsibility of Bharatpur Range.
Bharatpur Range IG Kailash Chandra Bishnoi has been sent to Police Planning, Modernization and Welfare, while Ajmer Range IG Rajendra Singh has been appointed IG Police Vigilance.
Changes have also been made in the District Superintendents of Police. Rajesh Kumar Kanwat, DCP (Headquarters) in Jaipur Commissionerate, has been made the Superintendent of Police of Balotra.
Hanumangarh SP Narendra Singh Meena has been appointed Commandant of 10th Battalion RAC, Bikaner. Pratapgarh SP B. Aditya has been made the new Superintendent of Police of Hanumangarh.
Jodhpur Rural SP P. D. Nitya has been appointed SP of Jodhpur ACB. Balotra SP Ramesh has been made SP of CB (Human Rights) at Police Headquarters, while Pankaj Yadav, Commandant of 1st Battalion RAC, Jodhpur, has been appointed as the new SP of Jodhpur Rural.
Vishal Jangid, Commandant of Bikaner-based 10th Battalion RAC, has been made the Superintendent of Police of Pratapgarh. In other transfers, Intelligence Training Academy director Pradeep Mohan Sharma has been made Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Administration) in Jaipur Commissionerate.
Kishangarh circle’s Additional Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh Rathore has been appointed Commandant of 7th Battalion RAC based in Bharatpur. Bikaner Sadar Additional Superintendent of Police Anushtha Kalia has been made DCP (Headquarters) in Jaipur Commissionerate.
