Mumbai: Salman Khan’s quirky tweets and unconventional Instagram captions have long amused fans, and they have now been compiled into a book titled ‘Bhai Ke Dohe’.
Delighted by the overwhelming response to their creation, its makers, Pratham Solanki from Indore and Soham Bodke from Pune, believe the superstar’s authenticity and unfiltered personality are what continue to resonate strongly with Gen Z audiences.
“My plan was to make a book for myself not to sell it but when I put it on Story, there was a great response,” Pratham was quoted as saying by HT.
Sharing the inspiration behind the book, he added, “Main bachpan se Salman sir ka fan hun, to isliye ye book ka idea aaya tha. Wo koi AI ya professional language use nahin karte. Wo apne mann ki baat jaise unke dil mein aati hai, waise hi likhte hain. ( I’ve been a fan of Salman sir since childhood, and that’s how the idea for this book came to me. He doesn’t use AI or polished, professional language. He simply writes whatever comes to his mind, expressing his thoughts exactly as they come from the heart.)”
Soham said, “That’s what sets him apart from other stars, and that is what us Gen-Z also loves, being real and authentic. Bhai is actually real.”
The book has received an overwhelming response, with its first print run selling out in just one day. The unexpected demand has left the creators pleasantly surprised.
“I had to shift from Indore to Pune,” Pratham laughed.
Soham added, “For 48 hours, we didn’t sleep as we were just packing and shipping the orders. By the time our first lot was sold out, Bhai tweeted ‘it’s done bro’, so we added that too in the book.”
Encouraged by the response, the duo is now hoping to release a sequel. They believe there will be enough new tweets and Instagram captions from Salman Khan to make another book.
Sharing his only wish, Soham said, “We are really hoping that Salman sir tak pahunch jaye ye book.”
“Hamara to plan tha unke ghar tak pahucha dein ek book, par abhi security zyada hi tight hai, (Our plan was to somehow deliver a copy of the book to his home, but the security there is extremely tight right now,)” Pratham joked.
