Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department Nitish Mishra informed that the Development Plan-2047 (Draft) for the Special Area of ​​Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township, Patna has been notified. This decision was taken in the 14th meeting held on July 31, 2026 under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner-cum-Chairman, Bihar Urban Planning and Development Board.

Suggestions and objections will be sought for 60 days

The Minister stated that the draft development plan has been published in the Gazette. Suggestions and objections will now be invited from citizens and relevant stakeholders for the next 60 days . All suggestions and objections received during this period will be considered as per the rules. After this, the development plan will be finalized and implemented.

Ban on buying and selling of land lifted

Along with the notification of the draft development plan, another major decision has been taken. The ban on the purchase, sale, and transfer of land in the Patliputra Greenfield Satellite Township Special Area has been lifted as of the date of the notification. This will now allow the process of buying, selling, and transferring land in this area to resume, which is expected to accelerate development work.

Minister Nitish Mishra stated that this project is an important initiative toward realizing Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary ‘s vision of a developed, modern, and well-planned Bihar.
