Why did ‘Dream City’ become a city of fear? Dutch influencer shared her experience of becoming a mother, told why she liked Bengaluru more than Mumbai.
A video of Dutch travel influencer Ivana, who has been living in India for about nine years, is becoming increasingly viral on social media. The reason is her experience, in which she told that Mumbai, the city where she had dreamed of living for years, became the most difficult place for her after becoming a mother.
In the video shared on Instagram, Ivana said that at one time Mumbai was her dream city, but as soon as she came to live here, she started feeling like returning back to Bengaluru. According to her, after becoming a mother, the priorities of life changed and instead of giving her peace, the fast-paced Mumbai started giving her constant stress.
‘Bangalore made me feel like home’
Ivana told that her strongest relationship in India was with Bengaluru. The greenery, openness and slow pace of life there made them feel safe. She said that Bengaluru gave her an environment where she felt comfortable and gradually she started considering India as her home.
My whole life changed as soon as I reached Mumbai
The Dutch influencer told that with coming to Mumbai, many big changes took place in his life simultaneously. On one hand, she was going to become a mother for the first time, on the other hand, there was the challenge of fast pace, crowd, heat and shifting to a small house in the city.

‘Not every beautiful city is suitable for every era’
Ivana said that a city can be great, but that does not mean that it is right for every stage of your life.
