Best MPVs: Ertiga wins again in June, these MPVs including Innova have the highest sales
Best MPVs: The MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) segment has always been the first choice of customers for large families and long trips in India. This segment remains in demand due to its large cabin space, comfortable seating and family-friendly features. Now the MPV sales report for June 2026 has come out, in which Maruti Ertiga has once again secured the number-1 position, while Toyota Innova remained at the second position.
Slight decline in overall MPV sales
According to the report, 35,767 MPVs were sold across the country in June 2026. This figure was 1.2% less as compared to June last year. However, many models have registered strong growth.
1. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga once again won the title of best selling MPV. It sold 16,111 units in June 2026, which is 13.9% more than last year.
2. Toyota Innova
Toyota Innova maintained its strong hold on the second position. Its 7,332 units were sold in June. However, there was a decline compared to the sales of 8,802 units in June last year.
3. Kia Carens Clavis
The Kia Carens Clavis came in third. It was purchased by 4,847 customers in June 2026. However, its sales saw a decline of 38.8% on an annual basis.
4. Maruti Suzuki XL6
Maruti’s premium MPV XL6 sold 2,711 units in June. Its sales registered an increase of 34.8% compared to last year.
5. Toyota Rumion
The Toyota Rumion was the best performer. It sold 2,376 units in June 2026 and recorded an annual growth of 67.9% in sales, which was the highest in the list.
6.Renault Triber
Renault Triber, the choice for those looking for a 7-seater MPV in a low budget, sold 1,871 units in June. It performed better as compared to 1,421 units in June last year.
7. Maruti Suzuki Invicto
Maruti Suzuki’s flagship MPV Invicto sold 349 units in June. Its sales registered an annual increase of 32.2%.
8. Toyota Vellfire
Toyota’s luxury MPV Vellfire was purchased by 140 customers in June. However, its sales recorded a decline of 10.3%.
9. Kia Carnival
Last on the list was Kia Carnival. Only 30 units were sold in June 2026, which is 36.2% less than last year.
Which MPV dominated?
Sales figures for June 2026 show that Maruti Suzuki Ertiga still remains the first choice of customers in the budget MPV segment. At the same time, Toyota Innova has maintained its strong position in the premium MPV segment. On the other hand, Toyota Rumion has strengthened its hold in the market by registering the fastest annual growth.
