US Iran Tensions: The sudden increase in military activities around Iran’s capital Tehran has once again intensified speculations about tension in West Asia. There have been reports of air defense systems being activated around Tehran and sounds like explosions being heard near Borujerd city. Meanwhile, several US military aircraft have been seen active around Iran on public flight tracking websites. These include three KC-135 air tankers, two KC-46A air tankers and one E-3 AWACS aircraft. The presence of these aircraft has raised many questions regarding the increasing military activities in the area.

E-3 AWACS aircraft are used for aerial surveillance and early warning. At the same time, KC-135 and KC-46A aircraft work to provide air fuel to fighter planes. Experts say that only limited information about military aircraft is visible on public tracking websites. In such a situation, actual military activities may be more than this.
Iranian officials did not give any statement
Apart from Tehran, there are also reports of explosions being heard near Borujerd city. At present it is not clear whether these were part of any military action or there is some other reason behind them. Iranian officials have not yet issued any statement on this matter.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump informed on social media that Iran has released an American citizen detained in December 2024. Trump praised Iran, calling this step a gesture of goodwill and said that the American citizen concerned is safe.
