CDO listened to the problems of farmers on Farmer’s Day, gave instructions for quick solution
Pratapgarh. Farmer’s Day was organized in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer Dr. Rammohan Meena. On Farmer’s Day, farmers and representatives of farmer organizations from different areas of the district prominently raised the problems related to agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, electricity and other departments. The Chief Development Officer, listening to all the complaints seriously, directed the concerned officers to ensure timely and quality disposal. The meeting was inaugurated by Deputy Agriculture Director Ashwini Kumar Singh who informed about the objective of Farmers Day.
After this, the Chief Development Officer urged the farmers to openly express their problems and suggestions. In the meeting, farmer Sudhir Pratap Singh of Hansi of development block Mandhata raised the problem of non-availability of green fodder for animals from Vishwanathganj veterinary hospital. On this, the Chief Development Officer instructed the Chief Veterinary Officer to immediately investigate and take necessary action. The same farmer also demanded to provide fish seeds for his 10 Biswa ponds, on which the Executive Fisheries Officer was instructed to ensure necessary action.
Nazirul Nisha of Baba Belkharnath Dham village Sarkhelpur development block demanded to provide electricity connection by providing 10 KV transformer. On this, Executive Engineer Electricity was instructed to verify the spot and take immediate action. Farmer Saroj Kumar Singh of village Purbiya Patti development block Sadar said that his farmer registration has been registered in Rampur Sangramgarh development block by mistake, due to which he is not able to get the benefit of seeds and other agricultural facilities on time. On this, the Deputy Agriculture Director asked him to submit the application in the office along with the necessary records and assured him of quick solution to the problem.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Development Officer Dr. Rammohan Meena said that any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in redressal of the complaints of farmers and general public. He instructed all the departmental officers that the benefits of public welfare schemes of the government should be delivered to the eligible farmers in a time bound manner and effective resolution of every complaint should be ensured. During the meeting, officials of various departments including Deputy Agriculture Director also gave detailed information to the farmers about departmental schemes, availability of agricultural investments, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, horticulture, cooperative, irrigation, fisheries, animal husbandry, milk development and other agriculture friendly schemes.
In the meeting, Project Director DRDA Dayaram Yadav, Deputy Agriculture Director Ashwini Kumar Singh, District Horticulture Officer Sunil Kumar Sharma, Area Officer Sadar, Executive Fisheries Officer, Food Marketing Officer, Leading Bank Manager (Bank of Baroda), Assistant Commissioner and Assistant Registrar Cooperative, Executive Engineer Electricity, Irrigation and Minor Irrigation, Chief Veterinary Officer, District Agriculture Officer, District Agriculture Defense Officer, District Manager of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Regional Incharge of IFFCO, representative of Milk Development Department and officials of various departments and senior officials were present. A large number of farmers were present.
