Sony has launched its new premium audio devices, the Sony 1000X The Collexion headphones and the Sony WF-1000XM6 true wireless earbuds, in the Indian market. Both devices were first introduced in the global market and will now be available for sale in India. The company has incorporated new technologies for improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), AI-based calling, Google Gemini integration, and excellent audio quality.
Pricing and availability
The Sony 1000X The Collection is priced at ₹59,990, while the Sony WF-1000XM6 is priced at ₹29,990. The headphones will come in Black and Platinum color options, while the earbuds will be available in Black and Platinum Silver. Both devices will go on sale starting August 7 via Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Sony Centre, and ShopAtSC.

Sony WF-1000XM6 will get many major upgrades
The new Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds have 8.4mm drivers and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e. The company claims that it provides 25 percent better Active Noise Cancellation than the previous WF-1000XM5. Apart from this, technologies like four microphones, Adaptive NC Optimizer, Auto Ambient Sound Mode and Wind Noise Reduction are also provided in it.
AI Calling and Superb Audio
For better calling, the earbuds use AI-based Beamforming technology, Bone Conduction Sensor, and multiple microphones. Support for DSEE Extreme, SBC, AAC, LDAC, and LC3 codecs enhances the audio experience. Google Gemini Integration, Speak to Chat, Head Gesture Controls, and Bluetooth 5.3 are also provided.
50 minutes of playback in just 5 minutes of charging
The most special feature of Sony WF-1000XM6 is its fast charging. According to the company, the earbuds can provide up to 50 minutes of music playback in just 5 minutes of charging. On a full charge, they provide up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC on and 12 hours with ANC off. With the charging case, the total battery life reaches 24 hours. The earbuds also have an IPX4 splash resistance rating.
