Heavy rain is also predicted in the remaining districts of North Bengal.
South Bengal is now relieved, the picture will change from Tuesday
There is no possibility of major rain in South Bengal from Saturday to Monday. There may be light or moderate rain in some places. However, the amount of rain will increase from Tuesday. In the first phase, a yellow warning of heavy rain has been issued in Birbhum and Murshidabad. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Birbhum, Murshidabad, East Burdwan, South 24 Parganas and East Midnapore on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in South 24 Parganas, East and West Midnapore on Thursday.
Extra caution in areas adjacent to hills and rivers
The possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas, damage to agricultural land and disruption to communication systems cannot be ruled out.

The sky will be partly cloudy in Kolkata from Saturday to Monday. There may be scattered light or drizzle rain. However, there is a possibility of increasing rainfall in the city and adjoining areas from Tuesday. If there is no rain, the air may feel uncomfortably hot due to high humidity.
