Tezzbuzz Desk – The mother of a 15-year-old girl who allegedly used offensive and abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for his decision to pardon her. Calling it her daughter’s greatest birthday gift, the girl’s mother said that by choosing forgiveness over retaliation, Prime Minister Modi has given her daughter a “new life.”
The incident is reportedly related to a student protest against the NEET-UG paper leak at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. During the protest, offensive slogans were allegedly raised against Prime Minister Modi, and a video of this incident surfaced on social media, sparking controversy.
“Today my daughter was born again.”
The girl’s mother thanked Prime Minister Modi and said that her daughter had committed a big mistake, but the Prime Minister showed a big heart by forgiving her.
She said, “With folded hands, I thank Prime Minister Modi. Today is her birthday, and PM Modi has given her the greatest gift. Today, this girl has been reborn.”
The mother said that the words used by her daughter were wrong and the family had already apologized for it.
PM Modi appealed to the people to maintain restraint
Amid the controversy, Prime Minister Modi shared a video on Instagram on Friday, urging people to exercise restraint. He described those using offensive language as “misguided,” and said such incidents should not be responded to with anger or retaliation.
Following the Prime Minister’s appeal, a video of the girl also surfaced in which she publicly apologized for her behavior.

In the video, the girl, who identified herself as 15 years old, said she now realizes the gravity of her mistake. She admitted that she had said several wrong things about the Prime Minister and that her behavior was inappropriate.
According to the girl, she had gone to Connaught Place with her friends and later reached the protest site. She was also influenced by the people around her who were chanting slogans against the Prime Minister.
He admitted his mistake, calling it his ‘first and last mistake’ and apologized to the entire nation.
Zero FIR has been registered in the case
Despite the public apology, legal proceedings have already begun in this matter. A complaint was filed in Noida regarding the alleged offensive slogans raised during the July 23 protest.
Noida Police registered a Zero FIR in the case, which was later transferred to Parliament Street police station in New Delhi.
The complainant alleged that the alleged remarks made against the Prime Minister were against the dignity of the post and there was a possibility of it affecting public peace and social harmony.
Mother raised questions about age in the FIR
The girl’s mother said the family had apologized several times and had also appealed to withdraw the FIR.
They have also raised questions about the daughter’s age listed in the FIR. The mother claims her daughter is 15 years old, while the FIR reportedly lists her age as 25.
He has appealed to the authorities to consider the matter keeping in mind the fact that his daughter is a minor.
Mother also appealed regarding social media
Following the controversy, the girl’s mother expressed concern about children and teenagers’ use of social media. She urged the government to enact stricter regulations regarding the use of social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook by underage children.
The mother also said that young children should be kept away from political demonstrations so that they can focus on their studies and future.
Questions raised about police action
Meanwhile, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke questioned the police action following Prime Minister Modi’s apology. Responding on social media, he asked whether the apology would be limited to a public message or whether action would also be taken regarding the case filed.
The entire matter is currently under discussion due to the Prime Minister’s appeal for restraint, the girl’s public apology, her mother’s response, and the FIR filed. Further legal action will depend on the procedures of the police and relevant authorities.
