In preparation for 2027 elections, Akhilesh will take out ‘Samajwadi PDA Rath Yatra’ across the state.
Lucknow. Before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027, Samajwadi Party is going to start the election campaign on a big scale. Party president Akhilesh Yadav will take out ‘Samajwadi PDA Rath Yatra’ in the first week of September. It is believed that through this yatra, SP will intensify its public relations campaign across the state and will try to woo other sections along with PDA (backward, Dalit and minority).

Can start from a religious place
According to sources, the Rath Yatra can be started from any major Hindu religious place. The names of cities like Ayodhya, Mathura and Varanasi are in discussion. However, the final decision has not been taken yet. Political experts are also seeing this as a strategy to answer the soft Hindutva agenda of BJP. In recent times, Samajwadi Party has also been cornering the government on the issue of theft of offerings related to Ram Temple.
Yatra will reach 403 assembly seats
The party plans to take the Rath Yatra to all 403 assembly seats and 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. During the yatra, there will be special focus on Jat and Gurjar dominated areas of Western Uttar Pradesh. Bulandshahr and Moradabad divisions are also being considered an important part of the campaign. SP is preparing to strengthen new social and political equations through this yatra.

Akhilesh himself will take command
It is being told that Akhilesh Yadav himself will lead the Rath Yatra. Along with him, MP Dimple Yadav, Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, Shivpal Singh Yadav, party MPs, MLAs and District Presidents will also participate in different phases. During the yatra, a strategy has also been made to corner the state government on law and order, unemployment, inflation and other public interest issues.
Election politics heated up a year ago
Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are to be held in 2027, but major political parties have already started preparations. BJP is also busy strengthening its organization and election strategy. In such a situation, Akhilesh Yadav’s proposed PDA Rath Yatra is being considered as the beginning of Samajwadi Party’s big election campaign for the upcoming assembly elections.
