Delhi: The picture for the Indian women’s cricket team’s Asia Cup 2026 campaign has become clearer. The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the 15-member squad for the tournament on Sunday (August 2). As expected, Harmanpreet Kaur has once again been named captain of the team, while Smriti Mandhana will serve as vice-captain.
India’s performance in the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup was below expectations, failing to reach the semifinals. Following this, there was much debate about Harmanpreet’s captaincy, but the selectors remain confident in Harmanpreet Kaur.
