Mahindra New Cars Lineup: Mahindra to launch new car range on August 15! See what will be special

Mahindra is known for showcasing its upcoming vehicles on Independence Day every year on August 15, and August 15, 2026, will be no different. Mahindra is likely to host a grand 3-day event this year, where it is expected to unveil several new vehicles and future mobility solutions. The Scorpio-N Facelift, Vision S and BE 07 are likely to be the main attractions at the exhibition.

1. Scorpio-N Facelift

Among all these cars, the Scorpio-N facelift is considered to be the most production-ready. This SUV has already been spotted in the company’s stock yards.

  • Changes and Features: While there are no major changes in terms of design, it is likely to get new alloy wheels, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
  • Engine: The existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine options will be retained.

2. Mahindra Vision S

The ‘Vision S’ could be the most exciting unveiling for those looking to buy a car in the small SUV segment.

  • Design and Platform: This will be an SUV that is less than four meters long. As per the concept, its design is likely to be kept tall, straight and robust.
  • NU_IQ Architecture: This will be the first car to be based on Mahindra’s new ‘NU_IQ’ architecture. This platform can support a variety of powertrains including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric.
  • Launch: This car will be unveiled only on August 15th and its sales are likely to start next year.

3. Mahindra BE 07

Apart from this, the ‘BE 07’ vehicle in the electric segment may come out in a production-red avatar.

  • Platform: Unlike the Vision S, this car is based on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO electric architecture and will be positioned in the segment above the BE 6.
  • Dimensions: The BE 07 has a length of about 4.56 meters and a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.
  • Battery and Range: Mahindra’s car could use battery technology from its larger electric SUVs. The current XUV 9S gets 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, with the larger battery pack offering a range of up to 679 km. It remains to be seen whether the BE 07 will get the same options, but it is likely to get long-range and AWD (all-wheel drive) variants.

Mahindra has not yet announced the official list of cars for the event on August 15. Therefore, the above information is based on available reports and expectations. However, given Mahindra’s history with Independence Day, we can definitely expect some big surprises this year too!
