Re-NEET UG 2026 Result Out: The wait of 20 lakh students is over! NEET result released, know who topped

NEET UG 2026 Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the result of NEET UG 2026 late Thursday evening. With the release of the results, the process of admission in medical colleges will now proceed as per the schedule. Candidates can download their scorecard by visiting neet.nta.nic.in.

Nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared in Re-NEET.

This year, NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted again after the paper leak. About 20 lakh candidates from India and abroad appeared in the re-NEET examination. The examination was conducted at 5,440 examination centers located in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. According to NTA, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical courses.

Girls students performed better

This time the performance of girls in the examination was better than that of boys. 56.8% girl students were successful this time. Whereas 55.1% students could qualify. More than 58% of the total successful candidates are girls. Aryan from Punjab and Panshul from Haryana became joint toppers. This time across the country, 19 candidates scored more than 700 marks. Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana jointly became All India toppers with 715 marks.

This was the result of NEET UG re-exam

  • A total of 138 candidates scored more than 690 marks out of 720.
  • Of the total candidates who were successful in the examination, more than 58 percent are girl students.
  • Most of the top performing candidates are between 17 and 19 years of age.
  • More than 93 percent students cleared the NEET (UG) exam in the first attempt.
  • The age of 99 percent of the successful candidates was recorded to be between 17 to 19 years.
  • Candidates from all 36 states and union territories of the country achieved success.
  • The maximum number of students from Uttar Pradesh, more than 1.7 lakh, were successful, while from Lakshadweep, 43 candidates passed the exam.

State-wise toppers include Jigmet Yangchan Lamo from Ladakh (530 marks), Dhruv Tripathi from Andaman and Nicobar Islands (606 marks) and Fahmida Anees from Lakshadweep (573 marks). Toppers from all the north-eastern states have also found a place in the list.

According to the data, 17 state toppers have scored 700 or more marks, while 26 state toppers have scored more than 690 marks. Whereas, the top 138 rankers are from 66 different cities of the country. The 17 top rankers who scored more than 705 marks belong to eight states: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
