Mayawati has issued a statement on social media informing about the expulsion of Ashok Siddharth and Randhir Singh Beniwal from the party. Mayawati has said that she has the complete right to select candidates for the assembly elections to be held next year in UP. In Lucknow, Mayawati has informed about finalizing more than two dozen candidates after holding two meetings. Mayawati has said that Akash Anand is conducting public meetings to announce the candidates decided by BSP. The BSP supremo has said that the party workers and common supporters should be cautious of the nonsense and rumours being spread on social media about Akash Anand.
Mayawati had previously expelled Ashok Siddharth from the BSP. She had also expelled her nephew and Ashok’s son-in-law, Akash Anand, from the party. Later, Akash Anand and Ashok Siddharth apologized, after which Mayawati reinstated them. In a post on Instagram, Mayawati explained why she expelled Ashok Siddharth. Recently, news surfaced that Mayawati had told Akash Anand that he could not select BSP candidates for the UP Assembly elections. It’s worth noting that Akash’s father-in-law was a former BSP Rajya Sabha MP. All eyes are now on Ashok Siddharth’s next steps.
