Paresh Rawal’s big revelation on his separation from ‘OMG 2’, again debate on credit started
Actor Paresh Rawal has for the first time spoken openly about the reasons behind his decision to withdraw from the film ‘OMG 2’. He said that he had developed the original concept of the film with director Amit Rai, but then major changes were made in the plot. Rawal said that he was disappointed that he did not get credit for the original concept he had worked on.
According to Rawal, after Akshay Kumar joined the project, massive changes were made in the screenplay, which completely changed the nature of the story. He says that the original concept of the film which he had kept was destroyed due to these new changes. As a result, he decided to exit the project and not take part in the sequel. This statement of Rawal has once again sparked a debate regarding ‘creative rights’ and ‘credit’ in the film industry.
Especially, his role of ‘Kanji Lalji Mehta’ in the first ‘OMG’ film was greatly appreciated by the audience. In this regard, his recent revelations have once again drawn attention towards the creative differences related to the sequel.
