Bypoll Results 2026: Counting of votes for the by-elections held in three crucial assembly seats in Bihar, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh began on Monday morning at 8 am. Following the July 30th elections, all eyes are now on the results of these seats. Counting is underway under the Election Commission’s supervision, and results are expected by the end of the day. The Bankipur assembly seat in Bihar is considered the most high-profile contest in this by-election. Here, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor is facing a direct contest against BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha. A total of 26 candidates are contesting for this seat. According to the Election Commission, approximately 3.8 million voters were eligible to vote. Now, with the vote count, it will become clear who the voters have trusted.

On the day of voting, Prashant Kishore alleged that the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Patna was attempting to influence the by-election. The BJP has claimed victory in the election, while the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also expressed confidence in winning the Bankipur seat.
Who will win the Datia seat in Madhya Pradesh?
The Datia assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh is also expected to be a close contest between the BJP and the Congress. Twenty-one candidates are contesting for this seat, and over 2.2 million voters cast their votes. All eyes are now on the vote count trends and the final results.
