Global markets are sending mixed signals today. US markets closed with gains in the previous session.
Dow Jones futures are also trading with gains today. European markets saw mixed trading in the previous session. Asian markets are also trading mixed today.
Buying continued in the US market during the previous session, which led to Wall Street indices closing with gains. The Dow Jones rose 276.97 points, or 0.53 percent, to close at 52,485.03.
Similarly, the S&P 500 index rose 0.70 percent to close at 7,489.72. The Nasdaq also jumped 251.68 points, or 1 percent, to close at 25,373.85.
Dow Jones Futures is currently trading at 52,770.60, up 285.57 points or 0.54 percent.
European markets closed with mixed results in the previous session. The FTSE index closed at 10,868.05, down 0.27 percent.
In contrast, the CAC index closed at 8,509.64, up 0.28 percent. The DAX index also closed at 25,629.24, up 0.07 percent.
Asian markets are trading mixed today. Of the nine Asian markets, five indices are trading in the red, while four are trading in the green.
The GIFT Nifty is trading at 24,630.50 points, up 182.50 points or 0.75 percent. Similarly, the Taiwan Weighted Index has jumped 382.59 points or 0.89 percent to reach 45,502.34 points.
The S&P Composite Index is trading at 1,626.43 points, up 0.17 percent, and the Hang Seng Index is trading at 25,919 points, up 0.13 percent.
On the other hand, the Nikkei Index is trading at 63,687 points, down 675.02 points or 1.05 percent. Similarly, the Shanghai Composite Index has fallen 0.59 percent to reach 3,809.65 points.
The Kospi Index is seeing a major decline today. Currently, the index has slipped 307.29 points, or 4.66 percent, to 6,288.16.
The Straits Times Index is trading 0.28 percent lower at 5,612.99, while the Jakarta Composite Index is trading 0.25 percent lower at 6,220.62.
