AIMIM has accused the ruling BJP government and Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav of colluding to demolish the minority institution.
AIMIM spokesperson Shadab Chauhan said that the Samajwadi Party government had left a loophole during its construction and taking advantage of the same, the present BJP government is bent on demolishing it. All this is happening with the full consent of Akhilesh Yadav.
He accused Akhilesh Yadav of colluding with the BJP government and maintaining silence on many issues related to the minority community. He alleged that the SP supremo never raised voice for minorities and their rights, but only used the Muslim community as a ‘vote bank’.
The AIMIM leader said that the university was deliberately demolished during Akhilesh Yadav’s foreign trip so that Akhilesh Yadav could be acquitted.
He said that all this is happening with the connivance of Akhilesh Yadav. I have heard that he is abroad, so despite having 100 MLAs in the assembly, his party will not organize any movement.
He further claimed that whenever atrocities against minorities take place in the state, Akhilesh and his party people neither issue any statement nor protest against these atrocities.
He said that whether it was encounter, mob lynching or bulldozer action, despite Samajwadi Party having a sizeable number of MPs and MLAs, it has never raised the voice of minorities.
He further said that for him Muslims are just a vote bank.
Controversy erupted over Rampur’s Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University on Wednesday when the Rampur District Administration (RDA) issued orders to demolish 38 of the 40 buildings of the Azam Khan-founded university after they were found to be constructed without approved building plans.
AIMIM spokesperson said that the notice to demolish buildings in Jauhar University is a major attack on the minority community and questioned why silence has been maintained on the alleged collusion and involvement of officials and office-bearers.
He asked whether action should not be taken against the officials who were in charge when the buildings were constructed?
He said that the BJP government in collusion with Akhilesh Yadav is trying to destroy the university. He raised the question that when the government is not able to establish new institutions then what is its intention to demolish the existing minority educational institutions. He also asked whether this was in line with the government’s resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
