During the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, actor Gaurav Khanna was engulfed in flames and severely injured. Gaurav failed to perform the show’s first stunt. The format of the show has changed this time. Instead of the fear trap, those who fail to perform the stunt will have to face their personal fears. Gaurav, who is afraid of fire, suffered a similar injury while performing a stunt on the show. In fact, he was injured while performing a stunt involving a pellet gun.
Gaurav shared some photos of his back on his Instagram story, showing his severe injuries. He wrote that he can still feel the pain and thanked Ori for capturing the photos.
Gaurav had previously issued an official statement, saying that his mother was against him appearing on the show. Her biggest concern was safety. She kept asking him what kind of stunts they would be performing, how everything worked, and whether everything was safe there. Gaurav said he feels it’s never easy for any mother to see their child step into something so uncertain.
Besides Gaurav, Jasmin Bhasin faced a personal fear, which included an electric shock. Gaurav had previously made headlines for his comments against Shagun. Shagun Sharma had said that Gaurav bullies her and that she would never want to meet him. Gaurav, in his personal fear, ran around wearing a fire-scarred outfit.
The contestants on the show are Avinash Mishra, Farhana Bhatt, Shagun Sharma, Avika Gor, Orhan Awatramani (Ori), Harsh Gujral, Jasmin Bhasin, Rubina Dilaik, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, and Vishal Aditya Singh. The show is hosted by Rohit Shetty. This season, shooting took place in Cape Town.
