‘Dresses Like A Pocket Maar’: Did Kangana Ranaut Take An Indirect Dig At Sonakshi Sinha?

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has once again found herself at the centre of social media chatter after sharing a cryptic Instagram post that many believe was aimed at Sonakshi Sinha.

Although the actor-politician did not mention anyone by name, her remarks have fuelled fresh speculation of a new Bollywood feud.

The post came after a screenshot claiming Kangana had “liked” a post targeting a “moti (fat woman)” over her alleged silence on the Jharkhand paper leak, despite previously speaking about the NEET paper leak protests, began circulating online.

Dismissing the screenshot as fake, Kangana clarified that she would never body shame anyone.

However, her comments about an unnamed actress in the same post quickly grabbed attention and sparked widespread discussion online.

“There are many fake news that are doing rounds, this like of mine is also fake. I never body shame anyone, but I have noticed an actress who dresses and speaks like a pocket maar these days. She wears half pants and ulta cap and talks like a jebkatra while passionately promoting gutterchap behaviour of protestors. I always feel how you dress in a relationship is a direct reflection of how you feel. Dear fellow actress, if your man is making you feel like a jebkatra, I am sorry. You used to dress and speak so elegantly. What happened to you? Opinions are yours, but you can do better with that styling of yours. If you need some help, I am always there for you,” Kangana wrote on her Instagram Stories.

Soon after the post surfaced, social media users began speculating about the identity of the actress Kangana was referring to, with many pointing towards Sonakshi.

The speculation stems from Sonakshi being one of the first Bollywood celebrities to publicly support the student protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi in July.

At the time, Sonakshi had shared a video on Instagram in which she appeared wearing a T-shirt, shorts and a cap while celebrating the students’ victory following Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.

Explaining why she chose to speak up, Sonakshi said she could not remain silent when many others had chosen not to comment on the issue.

“I’ve never made a public statement like this before, but I can’t stay silent any longer. We all know Sonam Wangchuk. We know what he has done for the country, his achievements, and the many honours he has received,” she said.

“For the past 18 days, he has been on a hunger strike without food. And why? Because he is fighting for the future of children, a future he believes is being pushed towards ruin,” she added.

While many social media users have linked Kangana’s cryptic remarks to Sonakshi, the actor-politician did not name anyone in her post, and there is no confirmation that her comments were directed at the ‘Dahaad’ star.
