Citing this example, Amit Malviya said that in 2011, in West Bengal, Congress left political space for the Trinamool Congress to defeat the Left. As a result, Trinamool grew stronger, and Congress was marginalized. Similarly, in Delhi, Congress repeated the same mistake. In the name of stopping the BJP, it created space for the Aam Aadmi Party, ultimately reducing its vote share to about 2%. The BJP leader said one thing must always be remembered: by-elections are essentially elections to elect an MLA for a single assembly constituency, not a mandate to decide the next government of the state. Therefore, it would be hasty to interpret the results of a by-election as an indication of future assembly or Lok Sabha elections.
Malviya further said, “For now, it is certain that the founder of Jan Suraj has opened his party’s account in the Bihar Assembly, just as I.P. Gupta of the Indian Inclusive Party once did. Whether this is the beginning of a major political expansion or just an aberration, the people of Bihar will answer in the 2030 assembly elections. The BJP will draw appropriate conclusions from this result, move forward with renewed energy, and continue to work with full commitment to fulfill every promise made to the people of Bihar.”
