After leaving BJP, he joined TMC
Chandra Kumar Bose resigned from the BJP in 2023. At that time, he alleged that the BJP had failed to live up to its promise of promoting the inclusive nationalist ideology of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Who is Chandra Kumar Bose?

Chandra Kumar Bose studied economics at Hendon College, London. He then received a management education from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He worked for Tata Steel for nearly 18 years in various positions, rising to the position of Area Sales Manager. Later, in 2004, he founded Bose Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., which works in the field of human resources (HR) consulting and skills development.
Played an important role in preserving Netaji’s legacy
Chandra Kumar Bose wasn’t limited to politics. He also launched numerous campaigns to preserve the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He was a spokesperson for the Open Platform for Netaji and has long championed the demand for declassification of secret files related to Netaji. He has maintained that the people of the country should have access to all historical documents related to the freedom movement.
How was your political journey?
Chandra Kumar Bose joined the BJP in 2016. That same year, he was appointed Vice President of the West Bengal BJP. He contested the 2016 Assembly elections and the 2019 Lok Sabha elections on a BJP ticket, though without success. In 2020, he was removed from the post of Vice President during the party’s organizational reshuffle. Following this, his differences with the party leadership grew, and he finally left the BJP in 2023. Upon leaving the BJP, he stated that the party had failed to advance Netaji’s nationalist vision of inclusiveness and religious tolerance. He subsequently joined the TMC, but has now resigned from there as well.
