The company has launched two premium beers in Delhi. These include Iceland Lager and Pale Ale. The retail price of both beers has been fixed at ₹230 for a 330 ml bottle. Currently, both the products are available in Delhi and will be introduced in other cities in the future.
Lion Brewery has a proven history of returning to India. It was one of the first manufacturers and suppliers of the famous India Pale Ale, which was brewed for India during the British era. For this reason, the company considers its return to India as a special occasion.
Focus on the growing demand for premium beer
The company believes that the demand for premium and craft beer in India is growing rapidly. Consumers’ taste for new flavors, increasing affluence and changing lifestyles are driving steady growth in this sector. According to the company, the premium beer market in India is growing at a rate of over 40% annually, while the overall beer market is projected to grow at a rate of 8-10% annually until 2028.
