Team India reaches Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Test will start from August 7

Team India, led by Shubman Gill, is moving forward on a new mission. The team has reached Sri Lanka for the two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka. All the players left India this afternoon and reached Sri Lanka after some time. Photos and videos of their arrival have surfaced, which look impressive. The team’s ordeal will begin from August 7.

The two-Test series between India and Sri Lanka will begin on August 15. The BCCI had announced the Indian team for this match a long time ago. However, a major change has been made before the team leaves. Jasprit Bumrah is currently unfit, so he has been dropped from the team. In his place, Jammu and Kashmir’s Aaqib Nabi has been given a chance to join the Indian team for the first time. Now we have to wait and see whether he will get a chance to play or will he be left out.

Meanwhile, the first match of the series will start on August 15, while the Test will begin on August 7, as Team India will play a practice, or warm-up, match against a Sri Lanka XI. This will reveal the Indian team’s preparations for the Test. This will be a big test, as the series will be part of the World Test Championship, where Team India seems to be in a precarious position.

Sri Lanka Cricket welcomed Team India and shared photos and videos of the team, in which the Indian players look very happy. Some of the players are also visiting Sri Lanka for the first time, which makes this a new experience for them. It remains to be seen how the team performs during this series. However, for the last few years, the team has not been performing as well as expected in Tests.
