Kejriwal protests against E-20 petrol, marches towards PM’s residence with 100 supporters, stopped by police

E20 Petrol: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who was marching on foot to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence with 100 people to protest against E-20 petrol, was stopped by the Delhi Police. Kejriwal then sat on a sit-in protest on the road with over 2.33 lakh petitions he had received from the people, demanding to meet the PM.

The police told him that the Prime Minister did not want to meet and ended the protest by taking all the petitions. Arvind Kejriwal said that the Modi government should stop imposing ethanol purchases from the US on the country under pressure from Trump. “What will the Prime Minister achieve by showing his power to us? He should show the same courage to Trump. If E-20 is not withdrawn, the country will be forced to launch another major movement.” Senior leader Manish Sisodia, MP Sanjay Singh, and other party leaders were also present during the protest.

“They will not meet, it shows their dictatorship.”

Arvind Kejriwal said that we had gone to give the Prime Minister 233,238 petitions. However, the police did not allow us to go to the Prime Minister’s residence. He said that a month ago, we had requested time to discuss the E20 issue with the Prime Minister, but received no response. Today, when we went to submit the petition, he replied that he would not meet. This shows his dictatorship.

Why is the government using this coercion?

Just as he displayed his dictatorship during the entire NEET episode, he is adamant on the E20 issue as well. His government itself has admitted in Parliament that vehicle mileage decreases, but only slightly. Engine parts wear out, but rubber parts do. When engine parts wear out and vehicle mileage decreases, why is the government using this coercion?

Ethanol should be purchased from America and sold.

Arvind Kejriwal explained that this coercion is being used because Trump is a powerful force in Modi’s favor. Trump is putting so much pressure on him that Modi doesn’t have the courage to say no to Trump. Trump is forcing the purchase of ethanol from the US and selling it in India, which is why this entire E20 scheme has been introduced. Today, we took petitions that were tied together with ropes, but for some reason, the ropes came loose, and many petitions were scattered.

Stop buying ethanol from the US

If the Prime Minister’s Office asks, we will send a fresh set of petitions to them. If more than 233,000 people signed so quickly, it clearly shows that there is a lot of unrest in the country. We would like to request the Prime Minister to stop buying ethanol from the US and learn to tolerate Trump’s pressure, as the entire country is suffering because of it.

We will definitely introduce a proposal to withdraw E20

Arvind Kejriwal stated that a resolution has just been passed in the Punjab Assembly to withdraw E20. E20 is against the people, and the Prime Minister should not succumb to Trump’s pressure. We have two MLAs in Goa, five in Gujarat, and one in Jammu and Kashmir. Our MLAs will also introduce this resolution in Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, and Goa. We know whether it will pass or not, because at least in Gujarat and Goa, there are BJP governments, and they will not allow it to pass. But we will definitely introduce a resolution to withdraw E20 there as well.

We will have to take to the streets on a large scale.

Arvind Kejriwal said that during the entire NEET movement, Modi himself had to decide whether to accept Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. But here, there is pressure from Trump, and Modi is like a coward in front of Trump. Modi has no say in this matter and is compelled. If the public wants to get rid of E20, they will have to take to the streets on a large scale. This movement will continue. We will discuss and inform you soon about the next steps and what activities will take place.

This hooliganism will prove to be their end.

Arvind Kejriwal said that the 100 victims who came today showed great courage, because courage is very difficult in today’s times. Anyone who posts a video on social media is harassed and FIRs are filed. Their trolls threaten, and their goons arrive at their homes. They have committed a lot of hooliganism, but this hooliganism will prove to be their end.

PM Modi did not listen to Arvind Kejriwal.

Meanwhile, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said that under pressure from Trump, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has mortgaged the country’s self-respect, dignity, and India’s 300 million vehicles to Trump. Because of Trump’s servitude, Prime Minister Modi is going to buy garbage worth 22,000 crore rupees from America. Arvind Kejriwal had written a letter to the Prime Minister a month ago, requesting that he meet and discuss this issue with him. Additionally, 233,000 people signed and stated their opposition to E20. However, due to Trump’s servitude, the Prime Minister did not listen to Arvind Kejriwal.

Fight against E20 under Kejriwal’s leadership

Sanjay Singh said that today, Arvind Kejriwal, along with 100 fellow victims whose vehicles were damaged by E20 petrol, were going to submit these 233,000 letters to the Prime Minister. However, a massive police force was deployed to stop the 100 people, and 1,000 policemen were deployed. This is, in fact, Modi’s rule. This fight against E20 will continue under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, and we are confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take action against E20.
