Mohammed Shami Reacts To Virat Kohli’s Premanand Maharaj Visit: Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has been visiting Vrindavan regularly for the past few years to seek the blessings of Premanand Maharaj. He has visited there several times with his wife Anushka Sharma and their children Vamika and Akay. Now, his fellow player Mohammed Shami has reacted to Virat’s frequent visits to Vrindavan. Shami says that no one should object to Virat doing so.
inclination towards spirituality
Over the past few years, Virat Kohli’s inclination towards spirituality has been evident. He has often been seen holding a rosary and a tally counter. He frequently visits temples and has been seen in Vrindavan, with folded hands, conversing with Premananda Maharaj. Even when Virat was going through a difficult phase in his career and struggling to score runs, he turned to Premananda Maharaj for inspiration.
Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami have played together for a long time for the Indian team and are considered good friends. Shami stated in his statement that Virat’s frequent visits to Premananda Maharaj shouldn’t be a problem for anyone.

What did Mohammed Shami say?
Shami said, “That’s good. Virat Kohli is very passionate. He makes time for everything and does everything systematically. A video of his room also went viral, showing all his belongings neatly arranged. As for going to Maharaj, I don’t think anyone should have any objection or question it.”
When Shami was asked if Anushka Sharma had led Virat towards spirituality, he said, “What’s the problem if a husband and wife do this together? I don’t understand why people raise questions about it. If someone suggests something good and you adopt it, that’s a good thing. It’s even better if two people go for it instead of one.”
Attachment to Premananda Maharaj
There have been reports of Virat Kohli living permanently in England with his family for some time now. However, whenever he visits India, he always visits Vrindavan to seek the blessings of Premananda Maharaj.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami is currently out of the Indian team. After Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour due to injury, there were hopes that Shami might return to the team, but the selectors chose Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Aaqib Nabi instead. It is now believed that a return to the Indian team will not be easy for the 35-year-old Shami.
