Seven explosions in Dubai within 20 minutes, plumes of smoke fill the sky; 2 accused arrested

Big news is coming from Jebel Ali, the most important industrial and commercial center of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On the night of Wednesday, August 5, at least seven explosions occurred in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area within just 20 minutes, shaking the entire area. Following these explosions, a huge cloud of black smoke was seen in the sky, which could be clearly seen from several kilometers away.

multiple explosions one after another

According to Emirati officials and the Iranian news agency Mehr, the explosions were so powerful that they reverberated through nearby residential areas. Witnesses in the Al Furjan area, near Jebel Ali, said they heard a series of explosions during the night, followed by a plume of black smoke.

However, the matter of relief is that according to preliminary information, there is no report of anyone being killed or seriously injured in this incident.

Two people who made the video were arrested.

Dubai police and security agencies have taken a strict stance on the incident. According to reports, two individuals have been arrested for filming the explosions and sharing them on social media. Local authorities have appealed to the public not to share unverified information and to rely only on official statements.

Investigation into the blast continues

The exact cause of the blasts remains unclear. While Iraqi media outlets have claimed that Yemen launched a missile attack on the UAE due to rising tensions between the US and Iran, Emirati officials have not confirmed this.

Meanwhile, NASA thermal imaging images indicate that the fire originated in a warehouse near the port. This warehouse was primarily used for the storage and transfer of fuel. Officials are now investigating whether this was an industrial accident or a deeper conspiracy.

What is the importance of Jebel Ali?

Jebel Ali is not only a shopping hub for Dubai, but also home to the world’s largest man-made port and a vast free trade zone. The UAE is already on high alert due to ongoing tensions between the US and Iran, as the region has often been a focus of geopolitical conflict. Security agencies are currently on the scene, and the situation is reported to be under control.
