Heavy Rain Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for several states nationwide. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh from July 21 to 24, and in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from July 21 to 26. Additionally, significant rainfall is likely in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab from July 21 to 23, and in Western Uttar Pradesh from July 21 to 24.
Regarding the weather in Delhi-NCR, recent rains have brought considerable relief to residents. The Meteorological Department has also forecast rainfall at several locations in Eastern Rajasthan between July 23 and 26.
According to the latest bulletin from the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is likely to remain active over central and adjacent northern peninsular India, as well as eastern and northeastern India, over the next 3-4 days. The department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall—with isolated extremely heavy spells—in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh on July 21; in the Gujarat region on July 22; and in parts of Madhya Maharashtra on July 22. Furthermore, rainfall activity is expected to remain subdued over southern peninsular India during the next seven days.

Rainfall in Northeast India
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from July 21 to 26. Heavy rainfall is likely in Assam and Meghalaya between July 22 and 26, while heavy rain is forecast for Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from July 22 to 24.
Rainfall Warning for West India
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding continuous rainfall in Konkan and Goa from July 21 to 26. Widespread rainfall is expected in Central Maharashtra on July 22–23 and in the Gujarat region on July 25–26. Additionally, rainfall alerts have been issued for several locations across Saurashtra, Kutch, and Marathwada.

Rainfall in South India
The Meteorological Department has issued rainfall alerts for isolated places across South India—specifically in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Rayalaseema—from July 21 to 26. Many areas in Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh may experience thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and strong winds at speeds of 30 to 60 kmph. Heavy rainfall is also predicted in some locations.
Weather in East India
A spell of rainfall is likely to continue over the next six days in East India, covering Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during this period. An alert has been issued for Bihar due to expected heavy rainfall from July 21 to 23, while Odisha is under an alert for heavy rainfall at several locations on July 21 and 22. Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds (30–50 kmph) are also likely in these states.
Weather in Delhi-NCR
Along with rainfall, there is a continued risk of strong winds in several areas. Jammu & Kashmir may experience strong winds at 40–50 kmph, potentially reaching up to 60 kmph, between July 21 and 26. Dust storms, lightning, and strong winds (30–50 kmph) are predicted for Western and Eastern Rajasthan between July 22 and 25. Uttar Pradesh may witness heavy to very heavy rainfall from July 22 to 24.
