Bollywood supports CJP protest:Now continuous support is coming from Bollywood regarding CJP’s ongoing student movement in Delhi. In view of the protest in Delhi, actresses Preity Zinta and Sonam Bajwa also spoke in support of students and social activist Sonam Wangchuk. Both the actresses expressed solidarity with the students through social media and appealed for dialogue and sensitivity from the government.
Preity Zinta appealed to the government to start talks
Preity Zinta shared a post on social media platform “I hope that our government will initiate a meaningful dialogue with Sonam Wangchuk and the student organizations so that her health does not deteriorate further! Sonam, please end your fast. Your health is as important as this fight. You and the students are fighting for the future of India and our youth. Every student and Sonam have my full and unwavering support in this fight to improve our education system. May you all have more courage. Jai Hind.”

Sonam Bajwa said- ‘Voice of youth should be heard’
Actress Sonam Bajwa also shared an emotional post on Instagram expressing grief over the pictures and videos that surfaced during the movement. He wrote that the youth of the country are not any kind of threat, rather they are trying to express their views. In such a situation, there is a need to listen to their voice and not make them face the use of force.

Sonam Bajwa wrote with her post that she was heartbroken after seeing the pictures and videos of the protest that surfaced on Monday. He said that this is not the time to support any one party, but to give priority to humanity.
What is the whole matter?
On Monday, a call was given by CJP for a march from Jantar Mantar to Parliament. A large number of students and other protesters participated in it. The main demands of the movement included an impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities related to the NEET exam, reform of the education system and the resignation of the Union Education Minister.
The demonstration had started peacefully. Many students were moving forward after giving flowers to the policemen, but as the crowd increased, the situation became tense. The protesters tried to cross the barricade, following which the police used lathicharge and tear gas to control the crowd.
Many protesters were injured
There were reports of several students getting injured during the demonstration. Pictures and videos viral on social media showed some protesters seriously injured. After these incidents, many artists and public figures from across the country came out in support of the students.
Continuous support from Bollywood
Even before Preity Zinta and Sonam Bajwa, many film personalities have given their reaction regarding this movement. Many actors including Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, Riteish Deshmukh, Dia Mirza, Sonu Sood, Diljit Dosanjh, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Sonakshi Sinha have expressed their support towards the students by reaching out on social media or at the protest site.
