Responding to the changing aspirations of families in India, Kia launched the Carens Clavis EV. The Carens Clavis EV combines spacious seating, versatile seating with both 6- and 7-seater options and electric innovations, making it a great choice for customers looking for practical EV options. Powered by 99 KW and 126 KW motors that deliver 255 Nm of torque, the vehicle delivers smooth performance on daily commutes and long journeys. It gets dual battery options of 51.4 kWh (490 km range) and 42 kWh (404 km range) and fast charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 39 minutes.
Carens’ sales figures reflect changing consumer preferences. Petrol models account for 60 percent of total sales, followed by diesels at 30 percent and EVs at 10 percent. While the Clavis EV offers the best range in its segment, Kia’s best and most efficient petrol powertrains are being widely adopted in family commuter vehicles as well.
