Ajmer Congress protest in support of Delhi student movement, effigy of PM Modi burnt

Ajmer. A protest was organized under the joint aegis of Ajmer City District Congress Committee and Dehat District Congress Committee on Tuesday against the alleged brutal lathicharge on students in New Delhi.

Under the leadership of Ajmer City District Congress Committee President Dr. Rajkumar Jaipal and Dehat District Congress Committee President MLA Vikas Chaudhary, Congress workers gathered at the Congress office located at Jyotiba Phule Circle, where slogans were raised against the Central Government.

After this, the workers reached outside the Collectorate premises and registered their protest by burning the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On this occasion, Congress leaders alleged that force was used to suppress the democratic voice of students, which is against democratic values.

He said that the alleged incident of lathicharge on peaceful protesting students is extremely unfortunate and the Congress Party strongly condemns it.

Congress leaders demanded from the Central Government that an impartial investigation should be conducted into the alleged lathicharge on students, strict action should be taken against the guilty officials and students’ right to democratic expression should be ensured.

Anil Khandelwal, Mustafa Chishti, Sameer Sharma, Hariprasad Jatav, Vicky Swasia, Deendayal Panwar, Sumit Mittal, Chandresh Sunia, Moksh Nogia, city and rural Congress officials, councilors, representatives of various cells and a large number of Congress workers were present.
